Some of our papers are hand or block printed. These methods of printing mean it is likely there will be imperfections and variations in colour etc. due to the hand-made nature of some of these products. This is part of what makes these custom papers so special and unique.

SAMPLES & SOURCING

Most of our samples are A4 size, some however are A5.

The sample you receive is an actual piece of wallpaper and illustrates the colour and texture of the design. There can be small colour variations between wallpaper batches but you can be confident that your sample illustrates how the paper will look on your wall.

Sometimes the designs in our wallpapers are too large to show all its colours in a single A4 sample. A few of our brands offer a larger sample service – if you would like to see a larger piece of your wallpaper please contact us via email and we can inquire for you.

We try our best to use images on our site that are an accurate colour match to our wallpapers. However this is not always possible due to the photography process and differences in device screen display settings.

We always recommend our customers order a sample to ensure you are happy with the design, colours and texture.

Yes! We have a huge knowledge of all the incredible wallpapers out there and are happy to help source your dream paper. Get in touch via email or our contact page with some more info about what you are looking for and we can get to work! Email us at: hello@walltowall.co.nz

WALLPAPER PASTE

Yes, we sell 5kg tubs of Harlequin Ready-Mix Paste specifically for Harlequin, Scion and Mind the Gap wallpapers.

We strongly discourage our customers use of other paste brands.

Failure to use the Harlequin Ready-Mix Paste with the above wallpaper brands negates all manufacturer and supplier responsibility should you encounter any problems with the paper during or after install.

Our 5kg tubs of Harlequin Ready-Mix Paste covers approximately 6 rolls. If you have selected a wide width paper the coverage is slightly less at approximately 4 rolls.

MEASURE & ORDERING

Our wallpapers come in many different sizes. Use our Wallpaper Calculator as a guide but as always we recommend engaging a professional for an accurate measure.

Our standard Harlequin and Scion wallpapers cover approx. 5.2sqm. Our standard Mind the Gap wallpapers cover approx. 4.6sqm.

Each page on our website has a basic wallpaper calculator to give you a rough idea as to how many rolls to order. It is important to remember this is not an accurate measure and is designed to be used as a guide only. Please note – our wallpaper calculator does not take into account doors or windows.

We strongly recommend that you engage a professional paper hanger to come out and measure your space to ensure you are ordering the correct number of rolls. Wall to Wall are not responsible if you order the wrong number of rolls through the use of our calculator or otherwise.

Wallpaper rolls that have been produced together are given a batch number. Papers with the same batch number are always hung together to avoid colour discrepancies.

Wallpapers batches are produced in limited quantities, if you order the incorrect number of rolls and need to order more at a later date we may not be able to source the same batch. This is why it is vital to engage a professional to measure your wall and avoid this possibility.

It is also important to check your rolls are all from the same batch when they arrive to ensure a consistent colour match roll to roll.

Yes you can! Providing the walls are in excellent condition and it is extremely well ventilated. Vinyl papers are ideal for a bathroom as they are heavy duty and designed to be wipeable.

Caution is still advised when using vinyls in a wet area such as behind a sink – always check whether your paper is suitable for areas such as these with your paper hanger prior to ordering. We can not accept responsibility for a paper that is has been applied in an unsuitable area.

INSTALL

All our wallpapers come with detailed hanging instructions from the supplier, specific to your chosen design. It is important that your installer reads these in full prior to hanging. If you are unsure about the hanging process please get in touch or consult your paper hanging professional.

You will also receive a detailed install checklist with your wallpaper. We ask that you and your installer read through this thoroughly and follow the instructions supplied.

We don’t advise our customers to hang our wallpapers themselves. Our papers are a luxury, designer product and we strongly encourage you to engage a professional paper hanger who is experienced with these designs. Some of our wallpapers have extremely complicated and large pattern repeats or panels that require a practiced hand for a flawless, finished product.

Yes we can! Get in touch and we will do our best to recommend a local hanger.

Your paper hanger will be able to suggest what your walls require to get them ready for application – they should be smooth, clean and dry. For older homes i.e. villas where the walls are noticeably uneven you may require a lining paper to help create an even surface to apply the paper. However your installer will be able to make a call if it is required. In this case we recommend using our Harlequin Paste on the lining paper also.

If your walls have a water based paint – a base coat of pigmented sealer is advised. The same applies for an unfinished wall.

Prior to application yourself and your paper hanger will have thoroughly inspected each roll for any imperfections or flaws in the paper or colour etc. in accordance with the checklist supplied with the rolls upon delivery. If a flaw is suspected or spotted we ask that you get in contact with detailed information and photographs immediately. No claims will be considered for hanging or cutting in excess of 3 drops.

You can read more about this process on our Terms & Conditions page.
